Tufts for all of us
I believe a Tufts education should not be limited by one’s ability to pay, workers should be compensated fairly and treated with respect, and faculty should be given an environment conducive to high-quality teaching and research. But it’s not enough to simply support these things. I will work to make Tufts more democratically governed by adding students, faculty, and staff to the Board of Trustees as full voting members.
Nathan graduated from Tufts in May. Last year, he served as the undergraduate representative on the Board of Trustees’ Administration and Finance Committee, where he strongly advocated against tuition hikes and saw firsthand how the Board's decisions affect every aspect of campus life. Nathan spent the past summer in Washington, DC, admiring the monuments and working as a science policy news intern for the American Institute of Physics.
The Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees runs Tufts. Its decisions determine everything from tuition to employee working conditions to the construction of new buildings. Adding students, faculty, and staff to the Board will help it better serve the full Tufts community.
